THE U.S. EMBASSY STAFF HOUSING
The Federal Buildings Office (FBO) at the U.S. State Department, commissioned WASSEF to be the Host Country Consultant to provide project management services for the construction of the U.S. Embassy Staff Housing in Zamalek, designed by HOK Architects. WASSEF had previously provided for this client construction shop drawings and supervision for the construction/structural works of two similar buildings in Maadi. Their mission for these projects was to ensure that they meet the U.S. Building Code and local Egyptian standards, with a priority to health, safety and security, as well as the use of local materials in addition to American products furnished by the government.
