The New Marg Station was added to the northern end of the Cairo Metro - Regional Line 1, bringing its total length to 44 km. El-Marg district is located in north-east Cairo, Egypt. It is an above-ground station. Colas Rail, the general contractor to National Tunnel Authority (NAT), commissioned WASSEF to be their consultant for architectural and engineering design, as well as supervision of construction for buildings for the extension of Metro Line 1, Metro Line 1 LSB Building, Metro Line 1 RS32 Building, Metro Line 1 Platforms extension, catenary works, and geotechnical studies for track installations. WASSEF has worked in conjunction and coordination with other consultants for different disciplines.
