SHERATON EL GUEZIRA
The Sheraton El Guezira Hotel is a 100-meter high building located on the tip of the Guezira Island in Cairo, Egypt. Its structure is composed of a reinforced concrete core surrounded by steel structure columns and beams, supported by v-shaped columns on a Benotto piles foundations. The R.C. core was constructed using a mechanical slipform. The 27-story building and 433 rooms was completed in 1984. WASSEF founder, Sherif Wassef, was a CM team responsible for construction management and supervision of the structure. A team of WASSEF site architects were responsible for the construction management and supervision of the finishes and furniture packages of the hotel until its completion.
