WASSEF was selected to plan, design and supervise the construction renovation of the Médiathèque at the Centre Français de Culture et de Coopération. The Médiathèque occupies the ground and first floors of the building in Mounira district. The goal was to design spaces which would support the Médiathèque needs of the 21st century reflecting the image of a high tech, dynamic community library. A bold interior design, with contemporary patterns and materials, complemented by the unique building architecture has successfully reflected a more modern look. The treatment of internal design features and lighting used responds to the client's request in maintaining an inviting and appealing environment for the users of different age groups.
